well we finally made it to the edge in the 28 Henriques. left wickford ri at about 5 am on saturday and headed out to the dump. made the south east corner and continued south to the edge made west atlantis and then set up the troll around 930. picked up a few mahi. no yellows. headed west stopped at a couple of high flyers. and chunked up some nice mahi on light tackle and loaded the box. it was the boat owners first trip to the deep and he really enjoyed seeing 4 digit numbers on the fish finder and also had a blast with the light tackle mahi. trolled a couple more hours with just another mahi then it was time to head back around 4. stopped off around fairway bouy and picked up a little BFT stuck it with a UNH tag and then back to the barn. to carve up the mahi and get some sleep. it was a long time to convince the powers at hand to head to the deep and now that we went he is hooked(though he wanted some YFT, next time). not a very productive day but a really nice day on the water. if the weather is that nice again it will be an overnight trip for Letter of Marque. but a good first run non the less.
