Shore Report: 7/15/2010
Fishing in the day time other than by boat has slowed down. By day time Blues are around but not abundant. V.H harbor and Edgartown outer harbor is your best bet for Blues. Some are hitting Menemsha and Wasque point. Bass at night has been pretty good even in the hot waters. Bait fisherman on south beach are coming in with some good reports. Menemsha channel has some nice Bass. Wasque and East beach are doing well also. fluke fishing has been good, but some days are a struggle. Tons of 10 inch sea Bass and sea robins making it difficult sometimes. Tuna report has been getting better. Reports of some schoolie Bluefin along the 20 fathom curve. Have not recieved any reports from the dump. Temp edges have filled in at the canyons and are not fishing as well as the shipping lanes. Good reports at the shipping lanes temp breaks. Bigeye Tuna, Yellowfin, Mahi and a nice sized blue Marlin. Tons of bait around the island. Squid are still being caught at night in the harbor.
