    Kerry Lynne On The Bank

Hit the first light bite this AM in my 20 ft. Grady, The Kerry Lynne. Plan was to splash at Sandwich but 5am morning temp was 26 degrees so we kept on driving until we a hit P-town boat ramp. A 15 minute ride to the SEC was better than 60 minutes through the cold dark CCB. Simple 5 rod spread of squid bars and ballyhoo. Tons of life around the SEC but loaded with boats. There seemed to be a first light bite that we didnt hook up on. We made home the middle grounds between the SEC and SWC and just went into pound mode. It was fishy. After 4 hours of driving around fish we could not buy a bite. So we switched it up and threw out a X-Rap deep diving swimmer and pulled a squid bar. 30 minutes later it goes off and 45 min later we boated a nice slot fish. Knee surgery on monday so its a great way to end the season.

Nice fish! Good way to end the year.

Let me know if you have any questions on the surgery or the rehab. I blew apart my knee two years ago. So I have been through it and have picked up more knowledge around knee surgery than I ever wanted to have.

    Awesome!!!

Great job, Salty. Just curious - did you get hit on the x-rap or the bar? (I pulled an x-rap around in my spread all season, but never got a nibble)

Great job on the fish, you guys upgrade the hooks on the Xraps. I didn't and lost a really big fish today.

We got the fish on the large silver/black X-Rap deep diver. Slight surface rust on the large treble hooks that came with it 2 years ago when I bought it. Its never caught me a fish but will give it a solid spot in my fall spread for a few hours from now on when the bait is not squid. I doubt there are any squid in 50.2 degree water on the bank right now so it was worth a try. Probably just a combination of luck and pounding the area for 4 hours.

Lime green and Olive/Black were my ticket today to hook them, but not land them, 2 of the 3 hooks on the front treble snapping off losing me a huge fish and then my Stella having the line dug into the spool on a very blistering first run ("I thought this thing was engineered by Nasa"), and then a thrown hook on a tiny fish...We had 3 chances to boat a fish today and struck out... Learn from me and upgrade those hooks, it'll be worth it so ur not feeling like me right now

Stellwagen and the bay are loaded with fall squid right now. A few of the fish I have taken over the past 2 weeks have had them in their bellies. Great time of year to be pulling bars.

    Congrats on your fish.
