Wow. I'd love to hear the play by play. Must have been one heck of a Nantucket sleigh ride!

You can I think but the law says you have to leave from port and return from the fishing grounds " under your own steam " which is fine if they are in really close I guess. You cant have a boat take you out, catch one then load it back onto the boat for the ride in.

    very interesting....! thanks for sharing....

I don't know about anybody else.....the thought of capsizing in a Yak.....and, just to 'say' I fought a BFT from a Yak is not a reason to do it......ESPECIALLY in freakin' November.

I need to grow a bigger pair, I guess

I've caught some pretty big bass out of mine and that is a sleigh ride! Its all fine till you get them near the boat then hell breaks loose. I don't know if I would want the kind of hell a 200lb bluefin can dish out next to my kayak!!! And then how do you get it in?

Good for him, if I did this my luck would have it that a 1200# Great White shark would be after me and my tuna. Have to bring lots of extra paddles!
