Attached is a photo of the Striped Bass we caught near Romer Shoals in the N.Y. Bight on my fishing charter boat the "Just Wonderfil", on May 22, 2010. It measured 42" and weighed 39 pounds. We've seen many bass in the 30" category this season, coming through NY Bay.
