I liked the slogan he used to say on his show. It was something along the lines of we gave up all the luxuries and comforts of home, for a life at sea. Or something ridiculous like that. Must have been real tough to roam around the world with a paid captain and a chef on a luxury fishing yacht. What a putz.
One thing you can say about him is that he is an expert in the Atlantic Tuna Fishery. I mean he did 6 or 7 season
of shows covering the entire range on the Atlantic Blufin Tuna. Up and down the coast over and over again. Covering
their entire habitat.
Oh, wait. Sorry. That was the Pacific. My bad. Other than a few cheesy shows in Maine, did he ever fish in the Atlantic?

you guys should post this stuff on his you tube account he will be more likely to see it or at least hit the thumbs down button on the video so it gets poor ratings
Never liked that guy, and this just seals the deal. What a joke! The reason he is jumping on this issue now? Because, just like CBD and others, they see it as a way to make money. Nevermind the fact that THINGS HAVE CHANGED on the other side of the ocean. Let's just start spewing the same nonsense as a few years ago and cause all kinds of harm to the east coast fishery! Go back to the pacific and have fun on your yacht, Fischer!
And it just totally blows my mind how these numb-nuts can continue to preach the "CITES will not have any impacts on our domestic fleets" nonsense. These guys just do not get it. As they go around telling everyone that the BFT is going extinct in an effort to get CITES, they do two things. First, they ruin our domestic market so that we can barely even sell a fish in the US anymore. That way, if CITES happens, our commercial fishery will cease to exist. And at the same time, they help build momentum to get the general public behind further restrictions on our fishery as a whole. If anyone thinks that a CITES listing would be good for any part of our fishery, they are deulstional. People like this are just hoping that they can dupe enough fishermen into buying their BS and once our fishery gets shutdown they can go back over to the west coast and be no worse off than before.
I hope people will make some of these comments on the Youtube page, or find an email for this guy and send them to him directly.
Isn't it nice that a high quality production film with depressing music was a deciding factor in what got this ball rolling on this shit storm almost 2 years ago.
at 00:37 seconds "In 2000 a group of people set out on a journey of discovery" and then it goes to show a guy riding a bicycle, then morgan freeman checking his twitter account ...looks more like a comedy to me. Check this video out and compare it, you put together some bullshit and it sounds important haha...
Another disturbing thing I noticed about this group. Two of their banner sponsors are Costa Del Mar, Pure Fishing which is Penn and Berkley. Not that Berkley stuff is every really worth a crap or that Penn stuff is worth anything any more, so I never buy it anyways. I did used to buy Penn when it was US made so I still love my senators, but that's about it.
