So I have my virgin canyon trip planned for the weekend. I know they can't predict the weather 12 hrs correctly .... this looks like mostly a swell event for the canyons.

SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft...becoming highest E. Isolated showers and tstms developing.
Tonight
SW winds becoming 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft... highest E. Scattered showers and tstms.
Tue
Winds diminishing to variable 10 kt or less. Seas subsiding to 2 to 4 ft...highest E. Scattered showers and tstms becoming isolated.
Tue Night
Variable winds 10 kt or less. Seas becoming 2 to 3 ft. Showers ending.
Wed
Winds becoming SW 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
Thu
SW winds increasing to 15 to 25 kt. Seas building to 4 to 7 ft...highest E.
Fri
Winds becoming W 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
and fidhweather seems to concur also.
Looks to be a bit sporty for a long run. I would save it for better times and better weather.
Isn't NW the one wind direction to really avoid out there?

Any wind from the north and the boat stays tight to the dock when talking about Canyon fishing for me. Read Hotreels Jr post about his ride in, in a northerly blow......no fun.
