Came on pretty good here this afternoon. Was out in Cape Elizabeth around 6 and it was honking, had to be gusting close to 50 mph, and sea was real nasty. Went from nothing to 20 footers in about half a day...real glad this thing is passing by pretty quick, these are the kind of storms that can be really bad if they stall. Still have a lot of wind on tap for the rest of the night, though.

Hopefully as bad as it is, it is not enough to screw things up to bad. Ocean is a mess right now but its all happening so quick there is a small chance we may be OK (knock on wood).

When you get a storm like this and are reminded of what 50 or 60 is like, makes it hard to imagine what 150 would be like.... hopefully we will never find out.
