First off I'd like to say sportfishermen.com has helped me enormously in the past few months while I've been learning. I am new to tuna fishing and there have been many informative posts on this site.
Anyways, my name is Steve. I am just beginning to fish off Chatham in a 25' Center Console "Fishizzle" and I was finally able to put the knowledge gained on here to the test this morning with a help from a couple of friends.
We left the dock at 330 and took our time rounding Monomoy in the fog. Unfortunately the fog did not lift but we made it out East of Chatham with lines in by 530. We had a couple bluefish and a bass hit our bars and trolled ballyhoo. While resetting one of the lines our way-back bar (black squid) hooked up and sent the drag screaming. Fish on. The 53" fish put up a good fight and our three man crew had it in the boat in about an hour.
All the sharing that happens on these boards has been very helpful and I look forward to contributing when I can.
