50 degrees at the Cashes buoy as we speak. About 10 degrees warmer than this time last year... did not hit 50 until May 30th....

Looking back 10 years at water temps taken from the same day, bouy and time of day, the average water temps would be right about in the mid 40's for 4/17. The coldest water temp for April 17th in the past 10 years was 2003 at 39.3* and the warmest was 2002 at 48.5* (Not including this year).

Last season was the 3rd coldest in 10 years and well below the average at 41.9*

This is a little off up here but it paints the picture pretty well that the water is warm in the Gulf and all the way up the coast...and pretty much from here to the Med. Has been the entire winter. I think you're right in your earlier post, going to be a weird/early year for a lot of fish.
