I went through this same issue about 6 years ago. I lost four cell phones in the drink in one summer !!!! They were the new (at the time) Smart Phones for about $500 each. Ouch !!!!
Did I see you out on the wagen on Sunday ??? I was in the 30 ft light blue hull Hydra Sport draggin bars for about 6 1/2 hours with noooooo luck !!! I'm about ready to give it up and go back to Bass and Blues. Fin-

I was out there Saturday not Sunday. I caught the largest striper of my life. It was 40 to 45 pounds and had to be 50" long. Not to much fun on an accurate 50 and of course I had to let it go after a few pictures.

Get the Verizon casio that is water proof and shock resitent, clip on a boat key float and your set. I went through 3 phones before this one. I have dropped this one 3 times and have retrieved it each time. Motorola has one that is watreproof and floats

You know that most of the carriers offer a backup service so that you don't lose your contacts when you hose up your phone...
For verizon, the link is here; http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/l...Protection.jsp

I have a blackfish making calls all over the world. LOL
Just lost another one last week. I can't wait to get the bill for the calls the blue crabs are making (droped this one at the dock). I bet he calls the blackfish from last year. It's not only the $500.00 per phone. It's all the contacts and numbers. I thought I was smart and got the auto back up from verizon the last time I dropped the phone but when I went there last week they tell me, "sorry sir but that doesn't work with the smart phones" WELL WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT WHEN I SIGNED UP So I have been paying for this for no reason at all. Don't even get me started with the insurance, 1 week to get a new phone. I wish I could go without my cell for 1 day let alone one week. Great idea hotshot, now they have to make a waterproof "smart phone" for it to work for me. My boss keeps me on a tight leash answering emails and such. He wants me to get a Sat phone so I will never be out of reach. I really need to hit the lottery. Sorry for the rant but the cell phone is one of those things that really sets me off.
