Dear Scott:
Nice talking with you on the phone. I have to regret I cannot accept your Small Token as I consider this Immoral for a government agency to bribe for information. Yes I said bribe if I sent you money for information you and I would be on the news. I feel your token of appreciation could be used against your studies. And there should be no bias reasons why a fisherman is giving you information. Also I believe the anonymity of those who are willing to give information could lead people to believe your information is hearsay and circumstantial. I would recommend you save the $5 to help you in your study, or to help an individual charter fisherman in the gulf who has lost his business due to bad press by our recent environmental disaster. I believe you should get at least some fishermen to stand by their information by becoming public. 3 evidences of fact beat a full house of hearsay. I would have no problem participating with lack of anonymity to prove factual evidence for your study. All you have to do is ask.
