    Hydro sat/sun AUG 7/8?

Is anyone else considering this weather window as fishable? Planning on leaving Saturday morning (8/7) for either Hydro or W. Atlantis. Hydro is leading the poles.

Seas should be mostly a swell by then. The easterly component Saturday night does concern me though. I hope they get it right and wind is 10 knots or less!

I was planning to fish that window too but every model other than NOAA has increased their wind forecast for both days. It 10-20 knots rather than 10 or less on fishweather and buoyweather, so unless things change I'm backing out.

Sorry, I was thinking Sunday Monday. Sat may still be doable, although the Sunday forecast looks much worse on the other wind models.

We are thinking about a Saturday night run into Sunday and probably head to Hydro but are still undecided. Getreel, will you have Seaworm on board for this trip? Southport28 on 68.

lots of moving parts going on with NOAA's happy talk in conflict with everything else. Sat night looks as if it will go evil at midnight w/ way too much east for my taste. Sun AM is going to be impossible to get out long in if in fact its blowing 15 inshore/nearshore as the models predict.

I'm in wait till 4 PM mode now....

Just saw the updated forcasts and had the same consern Will. NOAA forcast is not inline with some of the other forcasts, and they are notorious for getting it wrong. Fishweather which i have more confidance in has it blowing pretty good out of the North and North West overnight tonight and not laying down untill after dawn tomorrow, and then comming back up late sat afternoon into sunday morning from the south and southeast.

Thynnus....Yes, the infamous seaworm will be with us. That reminds me, I need to grab my dip net. NOAAs 1030 forecast got a litte better, so we are still a go. We will be running on a friends boat, CatJa on VHF 68. Seafoam blue 38 Out Island express with full tower.

You guys aren't making me feel any better about this weekend and to make matters worse the back seized up this morning and dropped me to the floor. Surprisingly my chiro. doesn't think being slammed around in a 26'er is good for my spine. I was miffed and said he could have led off with the strain of fighting a big tuna! Oh well.

I looked at Fishweather though and they don't show an offshore forecast. The near shore was showing 2' to 4' mostly. It didn't look horrible.

Here is the offshore forecast from Fishweather. It looks like a window afternoon on Sat but it goes away pretty quickly replaced with sustained 15 knot southeast Saturday night. If your boat's big enough to handle that at hydro, more power to you. My boat, sadly, is not.

4 PM still TTTC and tomorrow -> Monday is YDKIYDG. NOAA is a walk in the park; fishweather isn't.

I'm looking at other edges closer hoping a Sunday/Monday lessens on fishweather.
