HYANNIS TUNA FEST TOURNAMENT PROPOSAL

Ive had some inquiries regarding the fish zone boundaries of the 2011 Hyannis Tuna Fest Tournament. We are considering allowing a 100 mile limit which would allow Stellwagon Bank as a fishing area. I am not going to allow boats to run to the bite at Georges..if there is one, but if boats want to run to cultivator...stellwagon...the BA bouy..the sword...the BB..crab ledge...they will be able to do so. Im interested in hearing feedback from you guys if you have any.

Making it to Georges and back into the harbor by 5pm seems pretty undoable, unless youve got trip 300's and a massive fuel budget. 100 mile radius sounds reasonable though

yeah thats what Im thinking. 100 mile radius. Let people fish where theyre comfortable fishing. Stellwagon is a 50 to 55 mile run roughly so its doable if people want.

Its been confirmed. 100 mile range limit on Tuna Fest 2011. Keep in mind that premium dockage comes to those who register first. A and B dock will be prime locations as they are right at Trader Eds which is where the tent will be. If you know you will be fishing, don't wait to book!
