Hudson Canyon Nov 9Th and 10th

fished the Hudson canyon Tuesday night and wed on "on the Edge". We fished just off the edge and had 20 albies and a yellow. The Albies were up to almost 60 pounds and the yellow was about 30. Had an hour or so around 4am when they showed up and we jigged about 10. We hooked many more. None were taken on baits. Very little bait and only saw about 3 squid all night. We chunked till about 9am and were seeing fish jumping and feeding all around so we went to the troll. Probably hooked another 20 fish and landing 10 or so more. We were the only sportfish near the 6 degree temp break. Fish were feeding on some 12 inch fish that looked a lot like ballyhoo, maybe halfbeaks not really sure.

There were about 8 longliners working between the Hudson and Tom's. They had small swords and some small big eyes.

Proud of you cap, helluva trip for the 1st week in Nov. However late, it has been a banner year for big penguins. We had legit 65lbers a month ago on the east side of the Dip on the bank.

What, no klondike bars or classical music? Don't see how you caught any fish.

Congrats on getting out. Sure wish I could have. My boats going out this week also.
