I was fishing Platts bank on an overnight fishing trip july 4th and hooked up with at least 400lb tuna in the we hours before dawn on 175lb shark wire with a whole dead herring drifted off the back . we had lights in the water and we had herring all around our boat the tuna where feeding on the shadow line. fought it for 4 hours and he gave us a kiss goodbye. check it out on you tube under tuna fight maine.

We fished the tournament this weekend caught on 45 inch tuna out on platts on a dead mack and wire leader.
