The Friday Clipper will dig south of New England creating a deep vortex of low pressure right over New England. That will mix mild moist air from the North Atlantic, with serious cold Polar air from Canada, resulting in bands of moderate to heavy snow in New England Friday into Saturday, Jan 8-9, 2011.
After that, the coldest air in two years spreads from Siberia into Canada, to expand in the United States by Mid Month.
