Help with identifying this.

I've been doing a bit of fluke fishing near the mouth of the CT River lately.
There has been a lot of small bait in the area and the fluke have been under them feeding and getting fat.
However the other day as I was doing drifts I kept seeing these marks on my sounder and I believe they are from squid but would like to get opinions from anyone else that has seen this before.
It is not pot lines as there aren't any in this area.
I am running a split screen with the left side a bottom zoom the other is a normal view.
So please help me identify this.

looks like interference to me...are there other boats around you?

Yes but not close by and they also recorded the same marks.
None of this showed the day before or the day after with the same about of boats around.
There is a rip line roughly a half mile away too.

I have seem thermocline and tide line on my record that looked like that only over a longer distance. Could be tide or temp?

I wouldn't think it would be nearly vertical if it was thermocline. This went from bottom right to the surface.
At times there would be more than one side by side too.

could be squid..or rainfish or sand eels.. Seen marks like that the other day offshore and we jigged up squid!

Have had similar marks in several places... Pretty sure its interference from another transducer. I've had it mostly on my furuno units and not so much on the ray but have had it a couple times there too... Transducer signal can shoot a quarter mile...

Mike - I had the same marks in the same general area on monday, also a furuno unit. I thought squid too.
