personally speaking, i am not a fan of fishing with dozens of other boats. last night was no exception. mistake by me. maybe sometimes there's a reason for a crowd. left the dock with 30min left in the tide, so i knew we were fishing slack to start things off, but was hoping the incoming would prove effective. not so much. after last night, not sure i like the incoming tide. jury still out. drove past all the boats off of deer island, staring the entire way saying to myself, "really, i'm actually driving past them? yes. do your own thing" and headed to the areas i was catching bait. nothing. searched and searched and couldn't catch $hit. there must have been bait out there as boats were scattered around the islands all fishing. not us. circled back around after a bit to what was left of the earlier flotilla and still couldn't catch bait. marking all over, but no dice. wtf! ended up just being a boat cruise. oh well, still good to be out there....
