A happy fourth for the Fish Hunter.

I'm not much of a poster but here goes. We left the dock in Danvers and were at the NWC with lines in by 06:00. Twenty minutes in we hook a big bass on a bar, lines back in, thirty minutes later the port long rigger spredder bar gets sucked under and the lines starts screaming off the Penn 50. Thirty five minutes later it's in the boat. Twenty minutes later we're on our way to Gloucester to the market. The angler, crew and Captain Mike all did a great job. We had a new guy today who was on his first Tuna trip and needless to say he now has the fever.

Nice to see someone pulled a big one outta that parking lot! I'm curious were you on the east or west side and what did the fish weigh? Congrats to you and the newbie!

The fish was 77" long and weighed 258 lbs. at the dock and it dressed out at 198 lbs. I was working the pitt but I believe we were on the western edge of the bank.
