    Good decision on the radar. Getting home is better than getting out.

    I haven't bothered to target bft east of block in the past few years. They are too spotty and too spread out.

    Last season though, we had an unusual (but not unheard of) run of yft at the dump and north.

    People were picking them up within 20 miles of shore at the claw area, and we found them less than a 40 mile run from point judith.

    Every year is different. If you don't mind running and chasing draggers though, you might have some luck with the sbft's.

    Try to find one that is pulling it's nets and dumping bycatch. If nothing else, you may find some nice sharks to play with.

    Green machine/bird combo is great.The smaller offshore innovations bars in Black purple,have caught a lot of fish for us there,as well.Small 4-5 inch metal heads,right off the transom.
    Try the cinnamon donuts,at paines dock.MMMMMMMMMMM!
