Hide- My Wifes Logged On
Gusto IV Offshore 7-2/7-3
We ran to the Dip friday evening and pulled in around 10pm. Set out a few shark rods and a can of chum. We had 5 good size blue sharks during the night up to 10 feet. Had a school of mahi come into the lights but wouldn't take anything.
Up on the troll before sun up we decided to head south the the warm water. We made it out to 7000 feet of water with temps to 79 degrees. There wasn't much life out there. Only saw one pod of dolphin, a few whales and a big blue marlin free jumping. We managed a few mahi to 20 pounds but no tuna this trip. Heard there was a decent bite in the Hudson. Seems like the better fishing was out east. One of the guys from the marina stayed in the 40 fathom area and managed 11 yft and a bft. Guess we over ran the fish by 60 miles.
We are leving the dock now for an afternoon shark trip. Todays charter didn't want to get up early and wanted more then inshore fishing. Se we are leaving the dock at 11 for a shark trip. We have most of this week booked up but have dates available for both inshore and offshore fishing.
