    Ground Sound

I have a boat in the water earlier than ever. I have heard rumors of Vineyard Sound codfish in days of yore. I have caught a pollack in the sound in May in years past.

Does anyone have facts about Vineyard Sound winter groundfish?

    good luck.

I dropped a small jig with 3" grub teasers on a bunch of spots in RI Sound (while on stations with a r/v) including Browns etc.. ~2 weeks ago

Not much going on, few marks, although I did mark some bait inshore of Browns Ledge. I did count 15-20 boats in a small area south of Block on radar...

The East Grounds are 37 nmiles; Nauset is 45. A long way in March for groundfish. It will take a perfect day in March for me to make that run..
