Dont think the greenstick will fit on my 23 seacraft :(

Thanks for the posts and info sharing, always wondered about these greensticks. My ass outa me sumption was that folks were running multiple 130s off the main line. I see here the main line and break away line is on a hydraulic winch setup, and no mess of 130s and line. Since my next question was how the heck do you handle a 2 fish hookup or worse with 4-6 rods hanging off a greenstick mainline?? Probably many ways these are rigged. Anyone doing the 130s off the main line and no winch on a small boat?

Pretty cool concept though, maybe for the boat my fiancee wont let me get . For me a kite is on the menu for next year and I am still a rec guy. I'd be mighty afraid of tearing up the boat with one of these rigs!

Thanks again for sharing, you did not have 2, and it was cool to learn of a technique not familiar with...no worries I won't be flying a greenie anytime soon . At least for a few years. Got too many other boat projects too deal with before going green

Happy T-day and stuff the belly!

Here's a youtube video of a small boat greenstick in Hawaii at about 4:20 they start to deploy "the rig." It's kinda pixilated but you can see the squids bouncing up and down and the results!

forgot to add this .pdf link at POP which shows how to rig the lines better:

    Jones, Great links.....

In your second link the set up might be fine for smaller tuna...
But trust me ... "Not for GBT"
And one thing you have to remember, what ever you use as a connection has to fit through the block as it comes aboard and as it goes out!
Also I have seen clips that don't lock closed get twisted open and come off.
