Early Cod Charter for the Labrador and MBG
Today was a fabulous day out on Stellwagen Bank for the Labrador and MBG. We left the dock at 05350 with six avid anglers and high hopes for a great catch. The Bank did not disappoint – it’s loaded with Cod and Pollock. We would have limited out easily but a couple of the anglers were having more fun watching their buddies hauling them in than fishing for themselves. We left in the early afternoon with 44 Cod and a handful of Pollock. We had an unexpected catch as well - a rather large Wolffish, too bad we had to throw it back!
We are looking forward to our next day out on the Bank – the 2011 season is off to a great start for the Labrador and MBG.
