Well at the newengland fishing show there was a booth about dogfish that have been tagged. Some worth 100 bucks so not that I would target them but keep your eyes open to the ones fought and if you find a tag you could get some money.

dogfish processor in gloucester I just talked to is psyched. The 23 permitted Cod fishermen in Mass Bay are psyched as well.

They need to up the daily limit from a 3000 pound limit though or it will not be a direct fishery still a bycatch for gillnetters etc. Also after the 3000lbs. they catch, the rest will just be thrown over the side. The quota is set why don't they let people just try to make a buck and earn a living??? Crazy.
