The curse of the OBMST on the weather strikes again....
After two of the past three years fishing on a boat that was too small for the crap weather, I am glad I am sitting this one out today. Tomorrow looks fun though. One fish tourney boys... Mike |

Drove by the weigh in today after work and believe it or not, there were actually boats lined up to weigh in fish. Wasn't about to stop and join the circus of tourists fighting for a picture! Must have been a hell of day though, the house I am working at on East Chop has a dock and it lost majority of the deck boards from the storm, snapped 4'' ledger lock screws in half!
![]() I also heard of boat going down today, heard everyone was alright though. Anyone with any info? |

a 29' Luhrs sank in Muskegat channel and is reportedly awash. USCG is calling it a hazard to navigation.
A number of boats including a notable Falmouth harbor behemoth were damaged in OB last night in the storm. I have heard other rumors; those are confirmed facts. Ch 16 was alive this morning; nice and quiet now. |

crazy day
I bailed on account of the weather. Maybe the wisdom of age has caught up and replaced the testosterone of youth?? I heard about the Luhrs going down, a large SF had its windshield busted by waves, and another vessel calling for mayday was told the CG was busy for at least a 1/2 hour before it could respond! Not sure what would possess someone to go out in that weather in any boat, let alone a 29'?? Alot of boat returned after an hourt or so after a looksie around the corner !!
