Oh well. Hell of a run Team USA made. They outplayed Canada today but in the end they lost. Nothing to be ashamed of, this is one of those silver medals people should feel proud about getting.

For a team that wasn't supposed to have a chance, they played great. In any sport you hope that the teams in the championship play their best and have an exciting game.

Couldn't ask for a better pairing and matchup.

GREAT GAME ! I thought USA deserved to win in regulation.Overtime definately favored canada w the 4 on 4 format,wich stinks to determine a gold medal winner. No excuses though and nothing to be ashamed of.USA played a superb tournament and left nothing in the tank.Congrats to Canada,just wish it was anyone other than Crosby.

Damn great game. Congratulations to Canada, and there was going to be no shame on whoever was going to loose. USA played great. I don't know how some of those guys go back to work next week in the NHL. Talk about draining your tanks of emotion!

When the USA scored that tying goal with the goalie pulled at the end of regulation, I jumped almost as high in the air as I did when Vinatieri hit the 45 yarder in the Snow Bowl (ALMOST being the operative word!).

While Canada is our biggest rival and it stinks to lose to them, at least gold stayed in North America. Better than seeing it go to some European team.

I think plenty of Canadians thought their team would come out and walk all over USA and as everyone saw, that was far from what happened. For most of regulation USA was dominant and Canada was just trying to hold on. Miller played awesome again but this was much different than the first game against Canada when Miller had to stand on his head for 60 minutes to keep us in it. This was just a great performance from top to bottom, and we showed Canada we are legit. They may have won but Canadians know hockey well enough to know we could have easily been the one with gold.

Commercial- I agree, sucks to see it be decided in a 4 on 4 OT. That said, it would even been worse to see a game like this decided in a shoot out. In such a big game they should play regular OT like they would in the NHL playoffs- 5 on 5, go as long as it takes. Oh well.

The beauty is that just about everyone on Team USA is young and will be able to play at least a couple more Olympics (assuming NHL stays in the Olympics, which my guess is they will)...so we will only get better and better.

Anyways, great tournament. Hopefully some people in this country were awoken to how great a sport hockey is. If they didnt, they never will.
