General trolling tips -'not dyed in the wool !

everyone has their own ideas -- this is for getting started ! -----
Here are some easy trolling tips ;; boat speed 7-10 m.p.h we count the wakes off the back of the boat -- place the ist lure on the 3rd wake the next lure on the 4th wake -then the 5th wake and so on --- lures run off the outriggers are usually the farthest back-- - -- -- for -dolphin/-dorado -yellowfin /bluefin-tuna-- sailfish and ,marlin there is no exact lure location----- BLACKFIN TUNA for some reason seem to ‘’hit more often when the lure is ‘’not’’ popping around but running straight-- so we like to run Blackfin lures 5th -6th 7th wake back --- -- you want most of the lures to dig -- jump --pop- this way they look like a bait skipping across the water—you DON”T want the lures ‘’flying out of the water’’ if they are just let them back a little --all lures have a recognizable pattern and you can tell when they are acting wildly-- -- now wahoo lures are a bit different—you do not want them to bounce or jump so troll the wahoo lures as far back as necessay so they run straight regardless of how far back that is -- boat speed and ocean conditions will always have a different effect on lure action -- for instance when the water is rough place the lures on the ‘’backside of the wake’’ when the seas are calm place them on the front of the wake -------- yes we like “”Daisy chains-- creates a bait school look in the water and EASY to use !
