Friday Through Sun...what to do (also are albies still around?)

Great weather window and it is my mom's 60th birthday whom is a die hard fisherwoman.
We have spent the last 3 weekends chasing albies with some success....Wondering if you all think they will still be around? Where we were fishing they were thinned out last weekend compared to the weekend before but I think it was due to the afternoon slack tide, because when the tide turned the fish fed....just not as long. I hate trying to figure out the best decision
Looking to do something special for her bday. Maybe a tuna charter off chatham? Try our luck at Frances fleet for an overnight tuna trip? or ????any other thoughts.

Or....take out boat and either chase albies locally or head towards the claw or mudhole and troll for BFT's

    Grrrrr

If anyone gives the (Go east for tuna, the hard part would be finding an open charter Fri or Sat)

    Thanks

I personally wouldn't go this route.

we took the advice above and chased albies.
We landed 9 albies, 3 blues, 1 striper. (seems backwards, right!)
sooooooooooooooooo many fish out there..............everywhere. realy, when the water is calm you literlaly see a micro blitz here, and there, and there, and there, we saw massive schools of busting striped bass, so tight the water was brown, the albies we there till at least 1pm. I baiwatched albes in water that could not have been 6 feet deep chasing baitballs up tight to the shore.
came back and later took out my 13foot whaler in hopes of landing a striped bass to secure my grand slam...........it will have to wait as I did not get one.
base on my search fore more of the "deadly" lure in every store around...............it seems people know the one, as they were out of stock everywhere i went.

good luck ya'll, we will be out again all weekend....
based on the forecast, i bet the fleet will be in full force

That's a solid Albie outing for a 60th! Congrats. Glad they are still around after the NW blow. That's one of the 1st reports I've heard of stripers on top though. Did you have to cross the bay, or stay local when you saw them? Albies seem to be pretty tied dependent right now.

Fri through sunday we picked up over 15 albies..and some blues and stripers.mainly in vineyard sound. Also ran the boat over 150 miles in search. Pacience pays off.....and so does $500 in fuel chasing a fish thats not good eating. One comment....buzz bay is loaded with bait. Stripers should feast!
