Since they didn't have a working radio on board for a trip from Nantucket to Bermuda. Also 1 survival suit between 2 people.

wow sounds like the boat had a history of bad luck. Wonder how well it was constructed? Sad to see a mans dream being left out at sea, hopefully it willbe towed to shore.
I started thinking about this. How many times do you have to be rescued by the coast guard on the same vessel before they start handing you the bill?
Is that chief Brody clinging to the top of the mast with the riffle???
Dat is too sad for them.![]()
Looks like they scuttled her. Crappy boat, 2 guys, little gear, she sinks right at the edge?
They never said what caused the boat to take on water. I saw an interview with the owner/builder on the news and he stated that he had no carpentry experience at all but the coasties inspected it and said it was the best built wooden boat they had seen(maybe they meant the best built boat they had seen that day). Its a shame, his heart was in the right place, trying to help disabled children but they were woefully unprepared for that voyage. At least they were able to be rescued.
