    FoxBusiness and the fishing industry

In case anybody is in front of a tv, the FOXBusiness station (Direct TV 359) is reporting about the New England fishing industry today. They are up in Glouchester. They've interviewed Barney Frank, John Kerry, now the Mayor of Glouchester. I think they've had 5 segments so far

The stance is the hardship that the regulations are having on the fishing industry and how these regulations are killing the fishing industry, loss of jobs, etc... Seems very pro fishing and comes out against NOAA and the processes they have in place for imposing these rules, formulating these rules and how these regulations are putting people out of work. It's FOX, so of course they are subtly questioning how the administration can support these harsh regulations, thus putting people out of work, when what the country needs now are more jobs.

Not starting a political debate, just thought you'd be interested.

NOAA apparently is refusing to be interviewed for these segments. FOX has had 4 additional segments since my 1st post. Def pro fishermen, that's for sure

I hate to hear people are having hard ship in any line of work they do. (I just lost my job of 12 yrs @$30 hr, now at $17, life sucks sometimes) But Noaa and any scientific research backing them along with any regulation they recommend are for the longevity of the fish stocks as a continuous resource. Should we be like the Japanese and fish everything thing to damn near extinction! We'll we almost did. And the regulations they have been putting in place for decades now have allowed the Striped Bass to resurge, the Flounder stocks have re surged and the Cod stocks are still on the Rise! Just cause the numbers have increased for any species doesn't mean we should go back to hauling everything out of the ocean all over again!
Those that don't know, There are more Whitetail deer in North America now than when Christopher Columbus landed here!!! Though in the 30-40's they were almost decimated out of extinction from market hunters. When Fish & Game was founded and regulations were put in place, hunters where Bull Sh**t... but it had to be done! Now there are over populations of deer in every state in the country.
Regulations are FOR our Benefits. It sucks we are the generation that has to deal with the stricter regs. but it Will be better for the future!
