FISHED EAST OF TAILS

[Diggin It II]

Left Oldsaybrook 900pm for edge arrived east of the Tails at 330am . Foggy all the way which it didnt lift till around 900am. Lines in before light started on the cold side of the break in deep water. First fish on was small yellow followed by a few skippys then it turned on from there. Started getting double hook ups then tripples, the best was 5 rods down at exactly the same time and bigger fish. Got all 5 in turned out to be all yellows from 40lbs to the bigest of 70lbs. Man it was aswome. Bite died after that then picked one here and there. trolled up onto the flats for one more smally then headed in around noon. For a short trip we were happy to fill the box and not spend 2 days trying to do it. We went 13 for 17 and lost a small big eye at the boat, odd thing he was tail rapt. FISH ON Capt Dan

Congrats on a great trip in a short window, you guys got it done. Nice to see some quality sized yellows hit the deck, I need to get back out there

Thanks for the report. A dockmate of mine came back from overnighting there yesterday....put 14 yellows in the boat, and broke off a major bigeye. I can't wait to get out there myself, but looks like it might be a few days before we get weather good enough to overnight in a 26' boat.............

break that obviously held fish!your 37 foot egg harbor is a sweet ride, very comfy indeed to anyone else reading this post keep in mind this boat is available for charter and dan the captain and owner of the DIGGEN IT TWO IS THE BEST!!!
