First Tuna in Mass Bay 2010

Right when the GC is open, as long as the fish gets a tag and reported it does not have to be sold...right now the AC and CHB are fishing on last years rules as the new fishing season does not begin until June 1st. That being said if the Hawk retained a Trophy fish last season, even though it is still thi season than I believe he would have violated the one trophy fish a season clause for a CHB.

No the 2009 rec. season closed on Dec. 31st. The new 2010 season is what we are fishing on now. We are fishing on the default rec. limit which is one fish 27" to under 73". That is not last years regulations that is the current regulations set by NMFS for the 2010 season. They could change it, keep it the same or close it, but we are currently fishing under the year 2010 season and quota. Capt. Eric

What was in the stomach of that fish?? My friend saw some big ones pushing just east of the canal today. Can't wait till June 1st!
