    First Striped Bass trip of the season..

    The "Bluefin" had the first Striped Bass trip of the season this evening. We fished the incomming tide around a few of the local reefs around Clinton,Ct. Trolling Parachute Jigs we had 9 Stripers to 36 in. and 3 "Shorts" under 28 in..

    I was a bit concerned due it being a little early but 3 mins. after lines in we had a double on, that tends to settle the nerves. It was a steady pick. My next trip is Thursday and we are going to try some drift fishing to see if we can get away from the wire trolling..

    Looks like a good season is shaping up...
