    First Canyon Run

Not Sure if we were the first, but we made it to West Atlantis Monday-Tuesday. Water seemed broken up a bit. We set up in 69 degree water and chunked. The only bite coming at 4am with a 11 foot Tiger shark. Up on the troll in the AM and managed 1 YFT about 40 pounds. Lines back in for 4 hours or so, nothing. Finally found a bubble of 74 degree water and tripled up with 60 pound class YFT. Lost 1 and landed 2. Might be back out on Friday-Saturday.

    Congrats

Nice work Diablo, what kind of boat were you in? Is that Doug Sulser in that picture? I'm glad you guys had a good trip, those Sulser kids are great, I will have to stop on by the shop and say hello. Good luck this season and hope to see you out in the bluewater.

    Nice trip Kevin.

Way to kick it off... How far south did you run? Did you go much over the edge?

nice. Good to know they are coming.

I just pulled the plug on tomorrow/sat, don't like the way that high pressure ridge keeps moving up and down. Sucker trap.

I cant do the window bc of work but I think its worth the run in a boat that can head out at 35-40 knots, big CC, quick in and out... glad to hear our YFT's have grown up.
