    Finally shook the curse

So on sunday i fished east with a buddy, i'm a regular on his boat now since our boat is definetly down for the season due to a piston breaking up on the starboard engine!!! but hears the deal i've been out like 10 times in a row and the most action i've had on my boat or my buddies is a strike and then 30 seconds later we lost the fish and rig! bummer right.....well another half dozen trips and not even a strike so i was starting to think that i was cursed worse than the dreaded bannana and was thinking about just giving up on a whole. and the guy i fish with now, he has a really good and proven track record following him and had gotten some fish already this season but it just seemed like if i was on the boat the fish stayed away......well not this past sunday we boated a nice fat 61 incher....i'd say around 160lbs. fish hit the short rigger and was at the boat in 15 minutes with the gaff in him....great day, good to shake the curse....now maybe i can end the season on a positive instead of negative.

Nice work, man. I sometimes like to say that I'm not the best fisherman or hunter in the world, but I sure got a lot of persistance! Sounds like you.

i've got a ton of persistence i know i'm fishin the right stuff in the right spot at the right speed so i know its just a matter of time and i'll pound until it happens i've been told the first one is the hardest then they get a little easier so we'll see how that actually plays out.......
