A few pics from vacation

Been on vacation in Salisbury, MA the past 2 weeks. I saw some cool things I've never seen before on the ocean....a white shark on Old Scantum (close enough to touch his tail ) and of course the camera wasn't on board, three different basking sharks....and some stuff that never gets old like whales, dolphins, etc.

I took a few friends out on the boat who had never been fishing on the ocean before and they had a blast seeing two basking sharks, dolphins, whales and catching a blue dog. The girlfriend came out for a couple days too and learned how to shark fish and cut up cod. Our chocolate lab Sigsbee even came on a few trips. He's just about 5 months old and loves the boats and fishing!

The groundfishing overall was slow but we had a few really good days. We spent 3 or 4 days sharking and had some bonus sharks come and visit while we were cod fishing too. My dad and I doubled up on blue dogs at one point while another was circling the boat. We didn't do any tuna fishing but there was a slow giant bite going on in close to the river while we were there. I'd rather catch sharks than search for tuna (undergunned nonetheless).

A few of my friends visited for a couple days and we took pictures to kill the time and just had a bunch of fun in general. Saw Rich (Dads Dream) on Scantum with his boys on 8-21.

So great to see you out there yesterday and thanks for the pic of us otw with my sons.......flat calm, huh?
Just after you left we hooked a nice Mako.....full acrobatic air show and all.......my boys lost their minds watching him soar into the air 8x....

That's awesome Rich! Wish I was still hanging around then. I would have been perched up in the bow, camera in hand ready to get some shots of that guy airing out. Nice fish!
