    Favorite Glasses?

    I'm in the market for a new pair of binoculars and would love to get some input on favorites out here. I'm viewing this purchase as an investment, and while I am not looking to break the bank I am open to dropping $200-400 bucks for the right pair.

    My father has a pair of Nikons that he loves, and I think were fairly reasonable. Not sure about comparisons though as I don't have a decent pair. Anyone have any feedback on the ones West Marine sells? They are often on sale.
