    Falmouth Squid Boats

    anyone know when the boats will start going out for squid in the sound? looking to go down to the docks to talk to some of the guys about it. anyone have any boat names so i'm not wandering aimlessly around the dock lookin like a drunken sailor? any info is greatly appreciated

    I'd say by looking at the moon phase full is the 28th so Im gonna start 25/26th in newport unless this weather stays very warm you tend to get the biggest squid in the first wave that comes thru.....Dom is the guy ya wanna talk to he's all over the squid....at least he was last year...lol

    thanks for the replies i was actually interested in going down to talk to the guys about unloading the boats, i'm interested in moving the squid but i have never got involved int the squid business before so i was just looking for boat names captain names something like that. i'm just gonna go start hanging around the docks and see what i can find

    Hyannis - Last week in April, first two weeks in May. I think the last can leaving the harbor (#15?) any where in that area w/ sandy bottom 15-25ft of water --- Personally that is where I have had luck and they are thick.

    Did a half day charter on a headboat a couple years ago and the LOW man had over 100!
