    ENOCH CHARTERS 600 LB BLUEFIN

Captain Jay Berggren from "Enoch fishing charters" and Captain Rob Green from "Elizabeth Marie fishing charters" teamed up last Saturday for giant tuna trip. At about 12:30 P.M. the fun started when the tuna crushed the whiting and the rod doubled over and we were on, Jay fought the tuna for about 50min. and Rob threw a perfect dart to the head when it was close enough to launch the harpoon. The tuna weighed around 600 pounds and was sent off to Japan for a good price.

    Nice fish Jay & Rob.
I was close by in my boat when you got it and was gonna offer my block & tackle when your were talking to the guy in front of me that gave you one.
Hoping for a few more shots at them myself, up till now I've had a front row seat to a handful of fish landed and pulled hooks, including one fish 949 lbs caught SOLO in 35-40 minutes done by a "pro" some of us know !

ve fish guys, I hope you get some good $$$$ for it.

I am curious though, when using whitting, are you putting them down deep, off balloons, freelinning them or kitefishing? Ive never used them and may start next year. I hope I'm not asking for any trade secrets.....

    Thanks!

Yea, thanks for the offer on the block and tackle, it all worked out with Rick Rozen on Half-fast charters, he dropped the tuna right in are boat, great guy, we gave him the rest of are bait and he hooked up to a slot fish shortly after. His charter was happy and so were we. We know about that "old pro", that's amazing..............That bait was hit at about eighty feet......Thanks
