I went up to NH with my dad and Eben, a friend. We got to the boat at about 6:30pm. Before we were leaving we had a nice firework show that we got to see then we headed off into the fog headed for cashes ledge at 10pm. Our 1st stop was at 5am. When we got our jigs to the bottom they were just inhaled by the pollock. I stopped counting them after 15. I switched to bait to focus more on cod and haddock but the damn pollock wouldn't leave me alone and kept grabbing my bait intended for a big cod. As the day went on the bite was a pick for me between cod and haddock. I was switching from bait and jigs. The bite seemed to be very good in the stern. Thats always how it is We fish the bow the bite is hot in the stern, we fish the stern the bow is on fire. One of these days we should hit it pretty good. But anyway at the last spot we had a good bite of cod on jigs. Eben had a nice fish inhale his jig and brings up what was a contender for the 2nd place pool. I believe the weight of his fish was 17pounds. His fish spit up a few herring as well. Then I hook up to a nice fish. It was just a little smaller than Eben's cod. Mine went 16 pounds which is now my biggest cod. Unfortunately I didn't get that 20 pound cod I have been looking for but there is always next time. The three of us had a great time and had very good fishing. Captain and Crew were excellent. We look forward to the next scheduled super marathon

I also forgot to add on the way in we stopped on a big school of busting blue fin which were in the 100lb range to try our luck at throwing jigs at them. Unfortunately we had no luck there, but it was a very cool sight.
