    drag setting

    for all you boys fishing 150lb what do you set your drags at at strike and what is the max drag you will apply to a fish or do you play it by ear.

    I like fishing around 32lbs at strike....bump to on top of the button for a bigger fish. Keep it at strike for a smaller fish.

    I tend to agree for the most part, however with my 130s with 200lb mono/dacron, 66lbs at strike is a little overkill. I keep it between 42-45.

    Depends on your reel 130# 80#

    With the new lines today, you don't need a 130# to land an 800lb fish. 130# is still best though as you want to get that baby to the boat soonest!!

    ya, same here 45 on my 130s with 200lb and 28 on my 80s with 130lb
