Depending on who you sell your fish to, you could have already been giving them some money. Some dealers are taking out a small percentage of every fish and giving to the abta.

Match the Hatch for the ABTA

For every person from SFC who donates at least $100 to the ABTA in the next week by March 11, 2011..... I will add another $25 (from my pocket)to the $500 check from the MBG Saltwater Seminar Raffle.

Please make a note on your donation to Rich Ruis that you are an SFC member and you would like to be included in my promise. I will confirm donations from this with Rich.

Greg- that is very generous of you. One thing I wanted to clarify is that the donations will be going to Steve Getto, who has been doing Treasurer duties for ABTA, and so if anyone submits anything just make out any comments to him since will be the one handling the donations/membership forms. Greg I would recommend that if you contact anyone about this that you contact him as well.

Thanks again to Greg (and others at MBG), and to all the others both offering donations and recommending ABTA. As you know, this fishery is facing a lot of threats on a lot of fronts, we are doing a ton of work but we need all the help we can get right about now. Thanks

One other thing I wanted to add quickly- as some of you may know, I have been posting pictures of our fishery on the ABTA Facebook page pretty regularly but before long I will start running out of good pictures to put up, so if you have any related pictures you think may be good for the page, please pass them along to: americanbluefintunaassociation@gmail.com

I have seen tons of good pictures on here and so I know that there are plenty of them out there kicking around...

Here is the link for anyone who missed it:

    Thanks!
