they're lethargic 'cause they're dead, or nearly so, after fighting the gear all night and half the day. might as well gaff the pups for the same reason.....

seems like everyone gets a sick feeling when they see a juvie sword hooked and man-handled. We root for that little fish to have a chance to live and get large. How is that any different from juvie bluefin? seems kinda hypocritical to this old salt.
Watched the last show and at the end they caught a 500lb " big eye " which they also called ahi. Seems to me like there are at least two things wrong with that?????
Ahi means "fire" in Hawaiian, and is what they call Yellowfin. An Ahi is a Yellowfin. Sometimes ignorant people will call tuna "Ahi grade". Ahi is not a grade, but a species. Sorta like when we used to think "Allisons" were a seperate species......
