We once had a mako come alive well after it was boated. We cut the sharks head off and began steaking it out and its tail started beating all of us. Pretty funny seeing 5 grown guys drop everything and run from a headless but still very much alive shark.

Had the same thing happen with an 8 foot alligator, *after* we had severed the spinal column behind the neck with a chisel and hammer. This after he'd been stuck with a crossbow, harpooned and had his brains blown away by a .357 mag round fired by a bangstick. We were clever enough to tape his jaws shut, but when I tried to put the CITES tag inm his tail, he farking bashed me and started flailing. Those are some game critters, and take a heap of killing.
