    Crazy wahoo bite this summer.

Does anyone have any good pictures from that week this summer where it seemed everyone was catching crazy stuff south of the vineyard.

    Here's a few.
    Less trips than we'd like.

Same as most boats, LOTS of small YFT, a few over 40lb, wahoo, hammerhead etc...

the blurry wahoo shots are from a video clip...
too many 4 letter words to post. Nice lucky head shot by yours truly. No wire of course, right in the corner of the mouth on a rainbow daisy chain

    don't forget

There were a couple wahoo trips without jackson also

How good was it - 6 trips between August 20th and Sept 21st.

2 trips had 2 wahoo each; 2 others had 1 each.

One of the other 2 was a 50 tuna day and only the 6th was ho-hum.

1 for about 6 or 7 on white's; raised a pair of blues including one eating a 20 pound yellow off the transom and also caught a small sword.

each trip had all the 20 pound yellowfin you could want and then some.

My worst trip in this set was 2 yellowfin, a baby mako and a handful of solid gaffer mahi.

the kid did get the trip of the year though

One of my favorites... 40# Yellowfin exploding on the Skipjack's short rigger in Atlantis

Nice! that was a frustrating time as we couldn't get out and I heard of all this crazy stuff going on. Oh well, maybe next year. How far south was most of the action? I heard you could see land at times. By the time we managed to get out all we got was falsies and mahi around the pots.

All of our trips were south of the lanes -> the dip/Atlantis area
