Did you guys use any different tactics to catch the wahoo? I was out there and caught everything but marlin and wahoo and was wondering if you used different lures or speeds?
    Thanks

For us, no, it hit a staple in our spread, which is a rainbow daisy chain with a black/purple chugger off the rigger.

don't forget the cute yellowfin also. Looks to be 40 pounds or so to me

Wahoo - I drove over them at my normal 6.5 knots and they ate jetheads, Black bart and a bunch of ballyhoo.

If I really wanted to target them I'd pull two heavy bullet head hexheads long, a plug or two down the middle and a couple ballyhoo short.

They were by no means shy if you put any sort of reasonable spread in front of them.

I hope there is more action like that next year. It was surprising how many people caught small mako's trolling.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. Living on Nantucket I feel bad I couldn't get out there that week. The fishing gods were not smiling on me that week that's for sure.
