No. Anything outside the sound we use hoop 27 triton. I More then have the range in my 22 proline. I could even to go to the dump. I get about 2.5 per gallon in fair seas and carry 90 gallons, but the twin power on hoops triton is the smarter move for the near off shore stuff. In the right weather i would do it with a buddy boat..

    Star *****

I thought that you guys went with Hoopes boat but I wasn't sure. I'm sure I shouldn't have a problem with my boat, but still have to pick the day. 27 foot Pro-lone with a 250 Mercury Verado. Center Console.......

    BIGJAHOOTIE,
To be honest, I have never fished off shore on that side, that being sead, I don't know the spots. So I am going kinda blind. I have a few numbers, a couple of guys gave me, and I am sure I will see a fleet of guys when arriving. But it would be nice to be as close as possible too. So any help is GREATLY apreciated....... Leighton

There are so many good near offshore spots out there....Claw, Star, Coxes, Inside Fingers, The dump, The Gully, Tuna Ridge...... all of these spots with Coordinates can be found on the Capt. Seagull Charts.

You can go nuts and burn a lot of fuel for no results. I've done it and found BFT on the "East Grounds" off block. However these spots offer some great fishing when the water temp is right.

Because I run from Pt. Judith (23' CC) I set my furthest destination I'll do on a given day based on reports, weather, and fuel. I then hit all the spots to my destination along the way looking for signs of life.......lots of spots and lots of water out there but I'm always amazed at what you can see not to far from the dock.......

I'd strongly advise forgoing Muskegat channel for 2-3 days till Bill's effects are long gone.

I also would not be surprised to see an exclusion zone from Nomans eastwards a couple miles and a guided missle frigate or destroyer parked out back.

    President

I'm sure that with all the hype about the president being on the island, there won't be much fishing around the island for the next week or so. Theres plenty of water out there anyway.

Thanks for all the intel guys. Certainly apreciated. I will give it a try in the near future, and see what I come up with. Maybe, I'll even have a good post with some video / pictures we'll see. Leighton
