    Cod & Giants

Cod fishing this past Friday after the stormy week we had was on fire. Limited out on cod to 20 lbs and put plenty of haddock and pollack in the boat even after we spent nearly 3 hours fighting a giant tuna that inhaled a cod jig in 35 fathoms. Bringing a knife to a gunfight wasnt planned but we sure had a great time fighting a monster fish.

    Great story

Brings back memories of June 6, 2001 when we had a like experience with a Senator 4/0 and the ubiquitous cod jig. 3 hr's also; we saw the fish the last hour and eventually lost it in the props.

That day is still one of my fondest memories fishing.

Nice report, you'll never forget that day. Sorry it didn't end with blood spilling on the deck. Experiences like that keep the sickness fresh.
